A PLATE FOR LONDON
A Plate For London is a non-profit group of Londoners who have come together in the wake of the pandemic to tackle food poverty across the capital. Their work ranges from helping local governments like Tower Hamlets feed school children; to getting groceries and hot meals to local charities like Children with Voices and Compliments of the House so they can feed the vulnerable in London. They have fed over 14,000 people since the pandemic took hold in London. Through our partnership, every meal bought at The Great Feast of London will provide a meal for another Londoner in need.
A CITY IS NOTHING WITHOUT ITS PEOPLE.
It’s the nurses, shop workers, bus drivers and many others who are working on the frontline right now, putting themselves at risk for us.
It’s those who work in entertainment, travel and hospitality, many of whom are now out of work.
It’s the children who relied on school dinners as their main meal of the day.
It’s also the two million of Londoners were struggling with food poverty even before this pandemic took hold.
WE’RE ON A MISSION TO FEED THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THIS CITY WHAT IT IS.
